Soup with broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes, leftover celery and chicken, pork, corn, onions, leftover rice, and liberal doses of soy sauce, parsley, salt, and pepper, made by S because she was too hungry to wait for someone else to cook. Pardon the really blurry, indoor light-tinted pictures.

Epic sausage and vegetable pot pie made from scratch by K and S. And by epic I mean really epic. Six different vegetables including potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, onions, celery. Crust combined by hand.

3 differenty types of potatoes.

The vegetables barely fit into the pot.

Chicken pineapple sausage.

The crust took ages to mix and flatten since we don't have a rolling pin or food processor.

Ha, the filling was quite filling.

Mystery Chinese vegetables and rice made by S. Chicken with onions and celery made by K. (S is always the rice-maker.) Pardon the unpretty drizzling of oyster sauce.

Snow peas with bean sprouts and tomatoes. Catfish with tomatoes. Made by K and S (with S sort of MIA because she was on the phone). K was quite enthusiastic with the parsley.

Edibility: 3 out of 5 (Just to reiterate, K was very enthusiastic with the parsley. And the catfish was chewy.)

Q: How can we use up a giant Costco-sized can of pumpkin?
A: Pumpkin pasta and pumpkin pie...

Since we broke our last two can-openers, we resorted to stabbing the top of the can repeatedly with a knife.

Look, it works!

How unappealing.

Pumpkin pasta, with parsley and cheese sprinkled on top.

Baby pumpkin pie next to Mama.

Chicken and onions. Some weird combination of squash/melon things and tomatoes and bean sprouts. Guacamole made from near-rotting avocados. Microwaveable pilaf. Steamed almost-rotting carrots from the Embarcadero Farmer's Market. Made by K and S. I would like to apologize for how unappetizing these photos are, but this isn't a cooking blog. It's just... a record.

S, K, and V went to Thai Temple on Russell and Adeline for Sunday brunch / lunch. Stopped by Berkeley Bowl on the way...

Those pumpkins need some Clearasil. Or a loofah.

Not quite sure what this is... it has a face though!

Pad thai, yellow curry, and squash

Pineapple chicken? Spicy beef?

Made by the lovely people at Thai Temple.
